Transformation Manager (TM) is a comprehensive software development suite that is designed to significantly increase the productivity of developers and/or business analysts in developing data management and integration solutions. It is a toolset that enables you to connect, transform and consolidate data from any source system to any target system. Analysts and developers are able to focus on the data content and business transformation logic and then automatically generate the component for rapid implementation of the required solution.

Flexibility and portability are the hallmarks of TM. TM components can be run standalone, or be called from any application, thus enabling TM to be the ideal partner for modern architectures such as Business Process Management (BPM) and SOAP (Service Oriented Architectures).
The TM Software Suite
TM consists of four components:
· Design Tool
· Test Tool
· Debugger
· Deployment Tool
The software is Java based and will run on any operating system. The output java code may be deployed on any platform.
Software ArchitectureTM is designed to be an OPEN system. All models and transform logic are stored in a TEXT-based metadata repository which can easily be shared by multiple developers. All tools share this repository. Development teams may apply whatever Source Control software they desire against this repository in order to manage TM Projects.
TM Design Tool
Start a TM Project by loading source and target data models into the repository. TM can read any DDL, for example:
· Database Schemas
· XML, DTD or XSDs
· Excel spreadsheets
· Flat files
· Java Objects
TM instantly loads the models, and can even verify XML instance documents versus XSD schemas for validity. Over 350 built-in functions are available in SML, including database lookups, string manipulation, mathematical functions, etc. TM can also call any external function using a Java API, so integrating user or 3rd partycalls is very straightforward. No limits!
Improve your data quality, view sample data to profile it and ensure rule logic is complete, and instantly verify the output of the transforms. TM uses an iterative design approach to accelerate software development and reduce costs.
