Powerful Language

Transformations are specified using Simple Mapping Language (SML) - a turbocharged derivative of the proven standard EXPRESS-X 'structural data mapping language' (ISO 10303-14:2005).

SML is simple and clear enough to be read by business specialties and analysts - yet accurate enough to allow programmers to express simple or complex problems with great precision. Best of all it hides many of the trivial differences between data stores and data types. Using TM the entire team can work as a team and concentrate on the mapping logic, knowing that TM itself will handle the minutiae.

SML is very powerful and has over 330 built-in functions and coding patterns available to describe complex transformations between source and target models. And if this is not enough, we can create User Defined Functions (UDF) and Java functions to cope with added complexity.
