WITSML is a collaborative effort to develop a public standard to improve decision making by creating a seamless flow of data between Oil and Gas operators and service companies.
Based on internet standards W3C, SOAP, WSDL, and XML combined with its own Applications Program Interface and domain specific XML schema, WITSML defines how geotechnical data can be encoded into a standard format and exchanged using common protocols.
This sounds great but the problem still exists of how to easily and cost efficiently get data from WITSML to non-WITSML data sources. Solving this problem has historically been very difficult, time-consuming and expensive because it was based on hand coded solutions that were inflexible and unresponsive to change.
In some cases your current vendor may be able to assist; but what if you have a specific need outside of their current data model footprint, or from a non-standard data store?
That is where we come in.
Based on our extensive expertise and with our
Transformation Manager (TM) Data Integration platform, we have solved the problem with WITSML DataPort.
This is a Software Development Service that creates deployable data bridges between WITSML servers and non-WITSML data sources. It is a flexible solution that enables data to be moved bi-directionally between systems in batch or near real-time modes. It can also be used as a one time event where data is being migrated from one source to another.
WITSML DataPort is aimed at any organisation that works with WITSML data such as Oil Companies, operators and service companies and solution providers such as Distribution Hub, Data Store and Data Provider vendors.
