Help Facilities

TM offers a wide range of Design Time Help Facilities, including:

Online Help

By clicking on Help | Help Topics or by selecting F1, users may search TM's comprehensive context-sensitive Online Help:

Analyse

Right click on any attribute, element, relationship, function etc, and a menu will appear. The menu includes the Analyse command. This will define the element that has been clicked, describing its characteristics and pointing to its online help page.

Tool Tip

By hovering over an attribute a tool tip list of attribute values will appear:

Review Completeness

Right clicking on a model and selecting Review Transform Completeness from the menu will display a window that reports any attribute items missed from the source in the particular transformation and any terminal child items missed from the source.

Warning Messages

TM displays Error and Warning Messages if the build fails:

Colour Coded Text

The editor provides syntax highlighting, ie different coloured text for different syntax elements:

• The default colour is black
• Comments appear in green
• Keywords and Built-in Functions appear in blue
• Literal values appear in red/brown

Different types of assignment are also given different assignment symbol colours:

• Simple Attribute Assignment symbol is brown
• Identifying Assignment is blue
• Cascade Assignment is black
