Improving E&P data management efficiency at the Standards Leadership Council

ETL Solutions attended the first Standards Leadership Council Meeting at London Heathrow on 26 February 2013.  The aim of the meeting was to build on the launch of the Council by assessing the work carried out so far by its members and its plans for the future.

Ten potential projects were identified by the meeting, including mapping the PPDM data model and WITSML.  The aim of these projects will be to ensure greater collaboration between alternative data standards in the Oil & Gas industry.  The meeting also reported growing interest in the PRODML and RESQML standards.

The Standards Leadership Council was formed by standards bodies in the Oil & Gas industry to promote greater synergy in E&P data management.  To find out more about the Council, visit oilandgasstandards.org.
